Currently...

Let's get down to business! Now that I more or less know how to work this thing, I'm gonna try and pick everything up to speed with this single solitary blog. Hard, but better than trying to repost all the crap I've been posting about this particular subject for the last few days...

ANYWAY, the subject is Little Shop Of Horrors Sweded. Now, if you've watched neither the movie Be Kind Rewind  or Little Shop Of Horrors, this may get a little confusing to you. Let's start by explaining the term "sweded" for everyone out there...

"Sweded" is a made up term by Jack Black's character in Be Kind Rewind to describe their cheap home video remakes of well know, or at least already existing movies. To really catch up on all that though, I'll let you just go educate yourself, since you'll probably do a better job at it than I would:

The Wikipedia article on the movie

How To Swede

NOW that you're kinda caught up, here are some examples of actual Swedes by people on Youtube to get you a better idea of what we're gonna do:

Willy wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Monster's Inc.

Edward Scissorhands

OKAY ENOUGH. I'm sure you get the idea now on what Sweded is and HOW BAD the movie quality is. That means by now you should not be expecting much. True? Are your expectations nice and low? Good. Let's move on to Little Shop Of Horrors now...

Okay, so depending on if you're a movie nerd like I am or not, if you've heard of this movie, you may or may not have done your research on it. See, it started as an old black and white movie from the 60's that more or less is only known now for having Jack Nicholson in it. It eventually got turned into an off-Broadway musical which then became the film that will be Sweded. Click those links, seriously. They'll explain everything I just tried to condense there.

Now that you're caught up on Swedeing and the RICH HISTORY behind LSOH, I'm sure you'd like me to shut up and get on with our personal plans for it. Well, then. I will!

But where to start? I guess with comparing our cast to the film characters:

Okay, let's get to know everyone. On the left is our cast (obviously) in the order from me, Nate, Roscoe, Caleb, and Brandon. On the right is obviously the LSOH characters, that being Audrey II, Seymour, Audrey, Orin, Mr. Mushnik, and Arthur. As you can see, it's a far stretch...

We decided our casting (for best comedic value) would go:

Me: Seymour
Nate: Audrey II and Wink Wilkinson
Roscoe: Mr. Mushnik
Caleb: Arthur and Patrick Martin
Brandon: Orin

AND...we're currently lacking an Audrey. Despite being the only female on the team, I make a much better Seymour. XD So yeah, we'll get back to you on that one...

Alright, so now that we had our cast and crew, we started planning things like location:

And how to build an effect Audrey II puppet:

Maybe even a sweet Audrey II costume:

Dunno who that pic even belongs to, BTW. If it's yours tell me and I'll give credit. you're totally helping us, mang. XD

We've also done things like download karaoke tracks and videos of the songs as well as the script. Unfortunately, we still sound like this. But at least it will be funny...right? RIGHT?

Well, we're better than middle schoolers.

BUT ENOUGH OF OUR EAR BLEEDING VOICES. We've also dug out the old camera, tripod, and Filmmaking For Dummies. Which is very helpful, this technique particualr:

So I guess we're on the right track. :D

Alright! so you've officially been caught up now! Just keep this place bookmarked or something for updates. ^^ It's sure to continue as we do more...

BYE NOW. *Goes of to consult more Filmmaking For Dummies...*
